The Inspiration for this project has been an interesting one. So many of my decks in the past have centered around a theme or a specific moment in History. Because of this, I have always had historical characters to feature in my decks depending on the theme.
For this project, the beginnings were a little bit different. Many times between projects I will spend a few days just gathering reference and pouring over tons of beautiful images of art and other things that I might find inspiration from.
As I was searching for a creative direction for a new project, a song began to play on my playlist that really caught my attention. My wife sometimes calls me a nerd in my choice of music. I enjoy listening to all types of music but when I am working I seem to find the most focus listening to instrumental music from cinema, games, and other types of media.
This song captivated me, and it was the catalyst for the entire project. I put it on repeat and listened to it to all day while creating a completely new set of court cards from the images of, what I would describe as a mixture of Sci-Fi and Fantasy. The designs that transpired over the course of the day were promising to me, and most of very different from any of my previous work.
The title of the deck was actually derived from the title of the song that sparked it, Invocation.

Copper Invocation Luxury Playing Cards
I am a sucker for Copper. So when I was able to grab the Copper Gilded Invocation I was very pleased. The gilding is very rich and rare amongst gilded deck colors. It remains one of my favorite decks.
Deck The Halls - Luxury Playing Cards
Always great decks with great service
I wasn't really sure what I would be getting, but I'm so pleased. The deck of cards is very beautiful and elegant; solid and professionally done!
Love the design, the case, the cards themselves are so nice quality. I’ll probably be getting any further Lord of the Rings editions they do. Worth every penny I paid.
I’d give a review but I don’t seem to have actually received this. Said it was delivered. Maybe they are invisible cards?
That is the only disappointment. The background is a little too dark for my tastes. I would have preferred a much lighter more brilliant tone to offset the artwork. But I am happy someone is doing this subject in the Celtic style. Thanks. Oh. Love the box!!!!
These cards are stunning! My husband loves them.
I love these cards!
I ordered these as a gift for my husband who is a BIG LOTR fan since his high school days. We think the art is exceptional, and the texture of the cards is so comfortable for holding in hands! Well done! May there be many sales of these cards. K. Fogarty, Virginia Beach, VA
I was immediately drawn to this Christmas deck and had to have it. I love the care that went into this! The intricacy of the design, the beautiful illustrations, quality of materials and guilding, etc are all amazing. While I am completely enamored with this deck, I am equally disturbed by the HEXagram that's stamped on the outside! Need I say more?
I recently received my first 2 decks of Kings Wild cards, The Lord of the Rings and 3 Musketeers. The quality and detail are out of this world!! I can't wait to add to my collection!!
Love the artwork and feel of the cards.
When I bought this deck, I was wondering something beautiful, but when I received the deck, I’ve changed my mind! Indeed this deck is awesome!!
I really love it!
Terrific deck , fabulous tuck and the cards are amazing.
